SJSM was honored to welcome Dr. Arthur L. “Bud” Burnett II, MD, MBA, FACS, internationally recognized urologist, researcher, educator, and Patrick C. Walsh Professor of Urology at Johns Hopkins University, for a special lecture at SJSM.

Dr. Burnett shared insight from a career that has shaped the future of men’s health, advanced surgical innovation, and transformed lives worldwide through pioneering nitric oxide research that contributed to therapies such as Vi**ra.

Beyond his extraordinary achievements in research and surgery, students also gained valuable perspective on mentorship, leadership, global health, and the lasting impact physicians can have both inside and outside the clinical setting.

Thank you, Dr. Burnett, for inspiring the next generation of physicians at SJSM.
