ACSG - ArtCenter Student Government

ACSG - ArtCenter Student Government We seek to improve ACCD through direct action, encouraging student involvement, and representing students to staff, faculty and administration.

Our purpose:
1. To safeguard the rights of students;
2. To encourage student involvement in the greater Art Center community;
3. To improve the Art Center Student experience;
4. To provide substantive leadership development opportunities for students;
5. To participate as a valued constituency in

Art Center shared governance and open dialogue
6. To offer ongoing critical analysis of Art Center policies, practice and culture;
7. To model transparent, accountable, change-oriented leadership


How we do it.
• Representing the student population and its associated interests and issues to faculty, staff,
and administration;
• Holding weekly open meetings;
• Investigating and resolving student issues;
• Sponsoring social events;
• Producing communications and publications;
• Supporting the efforts of student clubs and organizations;
• Representing the student body on institution-wide committees;
• Conducting assessment of college policies and practices, as well as student attitudes and perceptions.
