Now Showing: "Camaro Lucinda" Featuring Justin Plakas
Looking for a boost of creative inspiration? The San Jacinto College South Campus Gallery is proud to present "Camaro Lucinda," an exciting exhibition by contemporary artist Justin Plakas, running through Dec. 3. We welcome all San Jac students, faculty, staff, and local community members to step inside and explore the gallery.
You can find the exhibition at the Flickinger Fine Arts Center, Building 15, Room 143. Doors are open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Friday visits available by appointment. For details or scheduling, contact Bradly Brown at [email protected]. See you there!

Some dreams refuse to fade.
Sitting at the front of the classroom, rocking a pixie cut, and wearing a crisp blazer, Dessie Gipson looks every inch the professor. But Gipson is here to learn.
After waiting 60 years, the 78-year-old student is taking on her next big chapter at San Jacinto College. She is earning her associate degree in general studies before transferring to complete her bachelor’s degree, all to achieve her vision of becoming a counselor.
Her story is a powerful reminder that purpose has no expiration date, courage knows no age limit, and the hero's journey can begin at any moment.

One of our own is hitting the big screen!
San Jacinto College communication alumnus Cristopher Rodriguez is the director of “Journey", his feature-film directorial debut. The film released Oct. 2 to select theaters across the country.
Now, “Journey" is coming to AMC 30 Gulf Pointe on Friday, Oct. 23. Help us support this San Jacinto College alum by seeing the film and showing some love!

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, San Jacinto College is highlighting R**e Aggression Defense (RAD), a nationally recognized self-defense program designed to empower participants through education and hands-on training.
RAD focuses on awareness, prevention, risk reduction, avoidance, and self-defense techniques that help students build confidence and strengthen personal safety skills.
