Here are some photos of our very successful winter sowing event that occurred last week in the SJNY Biology lab. In total we had about 40 people, including mostly students from the Biology club, Green Team, and 3 students from the Brooklyn Go Green club.

We made about 70 planters with native perennial pollinator species which will be planted in our native Shea gardens this Spring.

Great opportunities at Quogue Wildlife Refuge!!

Calling all college students studying Environmental, Educational, or Animal Sciences—this is your chance to get hands-on experience with native and non-native species, learn how a non-profit operates, and connect people with nature!

Join us this Fall Semester (Sept–Dec) for an internship at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. You'll help care for resident wildlife, support daily Nature Center operations, and assist with environmental education programs.

📅 Schedule: Sundays + one weekday, 9AM–4:30PM
