Survivors have learned – through personal experiences, watching what happens to others, and systems that have failed them – that speaking up carries enormous risk.
Fear of not being believed. Shame that was never theirs to carry. Power imbalances that protect the wrong people. And, for survivors who already face the greatest barriers to safety – those most vulnerable to violence – their silence runs even deeper.
