Hello,

My name is Rachel Jordan and I’m a Master’s student on the Library Science MSc course at City, University of London. I am currently working on my dissertation – the U.K. equivalent of a U.S. Master’s thesis.

My dissertation is focused on the use and availability of LGBTQ materials in public high school media centers in North Carolina (although I’m attending school in the U.K., I’m a North Carolina native). It will be comprised of a checklist study, circulation analyses, and a survey questionnaire, all designed to examine what LGBTQ materials are available via the high school library and how students use these materials.

I would like to ask for your help with the survey questionnaire piece of my research – specifically, in connecting me with members of the population from whom I would like to collect data. I am trying to reach LGBTQ teenagers who have graduated this past year from public high schools in North Carolina and who are, for ethical reasons, at least eighteen years of age.

I was wondering if you might be able to help me by distributing the link to this survey to the freshmen members of the UNCP GSA. Please let me know if this is the case - I would really appreciate it.
