UWF Instructional Design and Technology Our fully online undergraduate and graduate level programs prepare individuals for leadership roles in performance improvement, online teaching and learning, and the integration of current and emerging technologies in educational settings.

Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is a rapidly growing field focused on the integration of technology tools and resources and learning and instructional theories and best practice to facilitate education, training and performance improvement in organizational settings. Graduates of our IDT programs are prepared to assume leadership roles in education, healthcare, military, government, busi

ness and industry, and other settings where there is a need to integrate technology and/or improved individual and organizational performance. Dr. Jennifer Hurtt, IPT EDD doctoral student who recently defended her Dissertation in Practice, spoke at the Georgia Educational Technology Conference in Atlanta on November 2nd. She presented "Easy Ways to Improve and Market Your Media Program." The session combined insights from her Dissertation in Practice with innovative strategies for media program enhancement.

In addition, Dr. Hurtt has applied to present at the upcoming Georgia Children's Literature Conference in Athens at the University of Georgia in March.

Jason Bock, an IPT EDD doctoral student, won the runner-up award in the inaugural UWF 3-Minute Thesis competition! Please join us in congratulating him! Jason delivered an exceptional presentation on "Institutional Engagement with Online Students."

This competition was hosted by the UWF Graduate School and the Office of Research Administration and Engagement as part of the 1st Annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) event. The 3MT® challenges graduate students to present a compelling speech about their research and its significance to non-academic persons in just three minutes using only one presentation image.
