A huge THANK YOU to Wildlife Prairie Park for hosting OLLI at Bradley University for an unforgettable learning experience! 🦬

Our members had the opportunity to learn about one of America's greatest conservation success stories, the remarkable return of the bison from near extinction. Special thanks to Tim Cundiff for sharing his knowledge, personal experiences with Nakoma the ambassador bison, and fascinating stories about the park's bison herd and annual roundup.

The highlight of the day? A hayrack ride through the bison paddock, giving our group an up-close look at these magnificent animals while learning about the important work being done to preserve them for future generations.

We are grateful to Wildlife Prairie Park and their dedicated volunteers for providing such an educational and memorable experience. Thank you for helping our lifelong learners connect with nature, history, and conservation in such a meaningful way!

OLLI members had a wonderful afternoon with author and historian Kevin M. Callahan as part of OLLI’s Authors in Conversation series.

Kevin shared the powerful stories behind Brothers in Arms, honoring American brothers who served during World War II. We were also honored to be joined by Bradley University’s Vice President for Finance and Administration, Betsy Hull, and her family, whose relatives are featured in the book.

Thank you, Kevin, for sharing this meaningful work with OLLI.

Some people go fishing for peace and quiet, others go for the snacks and lunch afterward. Either way, OLLI’s Hooked on Fishing trip is REEL-y happening and we want YOU on the boat okay, technically near the water.

Join us Tuesday, June 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for a hands-on fishing adventure where you’ll learn casting techniques, local fish species, and the basics of fishing with a fun and welcoming group. No experience needed if you can hold a fishing pole and tell a good story, you’re qualified.

OLLI at Bradley University members recently had the opportunity to tour the historic Peoria County Courthouse. Participants explored courtrooms, learned about the history and architecture of the courthouse, and gained insight into how the local judicial system operates. Members also had the chance to ask questions and hear firsthand stories about the legal process and the important work happening within the courthouse every day. Thank you to everyone who helped make this educational experience possible!
