Classes may be back in session, but we still have some great summer intern stories to share. Today, we are featuring Brock Carver, a senior Personal Financial Planning major and Accounting and Marketing minor. Brock spent his summer internship with WestPoint Financial Group as a Financial Services Intern, analyzing client situations, evaluating goals, risk tolerance, and asset allocation, in order to shape strategies aligned with both current needs and long-term objectives. He built comprehensive mock financial plans that integrated retirement planning, insurance needs, and investment growth, while gaining exposure to tools and products used every day in the industry.📈
Brock shares, "One of the most valuable parts of the experience was seeing how much trust and communication drive this business. Sitting in on client conversations, working through case studies, and helping prepare recommendations reinforced that financial planning is just as much about relationships as it is about numbers. I stepped beyond the classroom and began thinking like an advisor, which meant learning how real financial decisions impact real people."💵
