The largest Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program in the state of Illinois. Peoria MedPeds is training with heart. In the heart of Illinois.

Discover what Peoria MedPeds has to offer! Established in 1981, we have a long tradition of providing exceptional combined training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Our residency program brings together the resources of the University of Illinois College of Medicine with OSF St. Francis Medical Center. With 8 residents in each intern class, our program is also one of the largest in the country

--and remains the largest in the state of Illinois. Despite our size, we remain a close-knit community with down-to-earth faculty.

It was a beautiful day in central Illinois: soaking up the sun and shooting paint. Peoria MedPeds answered the ''call of duty," shooting one another (with paint) until one team emerged victorious. Til our next Spring Olympics!

Dr. Oladoyin Jolaoye gave her colleagues a wonderful presentation on treatment of deaf patients in medicine. She also celebrated Black History Month with the recognition of black physicians that helped revolutionize medicine and continue to inspire future generations. Congrats on the excellent work Doyin!

ICYMI: Peoria MedPeds hosts an annual "Switch Dinner" every fall before the first 'switch' of the academic year. Our interns are going from pediatrics to internal medicine (or vice versa)--and our superterns are becoming supervisory seniors. Residents and faculty share wisdom and insights -- and a meal -- to help alleviate the anxiety of the first switch. This year, we hosted the event at Jump Simulation.
