Welcome to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, an educational institution that has been committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives every day for over 100 years! As one of the Top 100 associate degree-producing community colleges in the nation, we are proud to serve the four-county district of Jackson, George, Harrison, and Stone counties. Gulf Coast ensures you an opportunit

y to achieve your educational goals by providing programs and services designed for students who plan to seek a four-year degree, train for immediate employment, or transition to a new career. In fact, research reflects that Gulf Coast students who transfer to a four-year institution perform as well or better than students who begin their education at the respective institution. Dedicated, caring faculty members provide world-class instruction in traditional and hybrid class formats as well as on weekends, evenings and online. Just click on the Future Student link on our website to learn about academic, career-technical, eLearning, workforce development and continuing education programs. We invite you to experience residential life in your “home away from home” at the Perkinston Campus, the only location with residence halls and the home of ten collegiate sports teams. For scholarship information and other financial assistance, please contact one our financial aid offices or the MGCCC Alumni/Foundation. The college promotes community and economic development programs and services to assist individuals who are preparing to enter the workforce or seeking to upgrade skills ranging from computer applications to supervisory/management to advanced manufacturing. Strong business and industry partnerships provide opportunities for employment of graduates, internships and program enhancements. I personally invite you to visit any campus/center location as you make your choice for higher education. College representatives will be pleased to arrange a tour of our showcase facilities and high-quality learning environment. We look forward to making a positive difference in your life and to your becoming a successful graduate and lifelong friend of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Congratulations to MGCCC graduate Katie Carter!

Katie was named a 2026 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholar, one of the most prestigious and competitive scholarships for community college students in the nation.

As a nontraditional student attending MGCCC, Katie served as a Phi Theta Kappa officer, a Student Government representative, and a member of the Campus Activities Board. Now, she has her sights set on a degree in Social Work from USM to follow her dream of working with and supporting children who have experienced trauma.

We are incredibly proud of Katie and inspired by her optimism, determination, and passion.
