📜 Honoring History at VSU 📜

Virginia State University proudly celebrates a moment of legacy and preservation. Dr. Willis Walter (VP of External Relations), Dean Tessa Perry (Libraries), and Dr. Ben Uzochukwu (Graduate School) joined Mrs. Kobi Carter Eidman as she generously donated historic archives honoring her great-grandfather, Peter J. Carter.

Peter J. Carter holds a distinguished place in history as VSU’s first Rector of the Board of Visitors and one of the first African Americans to serve in Virginia’s government. His impact continues to inspire generations of Trojans and beyond.
