Penn GSE Pride Alliance works to create a more queer and trans inclusive community within Penn GSE, and promote scholarship around gender and sexuality issues in education. Our Mission:
Penn GSE Pride Alliance is a student organization that aims to create a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for LGBTQQIAPP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, pansexual and
polyamorous) and allied students, faculty and staff in Penn GSE. Penn GSE Pride Alliance hopes to encourage positive social change in GSE and beyond, by promoting our four core tenets of advocacy, academic dialogue, education and community outreach. Our Vision:
We envision Penn GSE Pride Alliance as a hub for intersectional gender and sexuality scholarship and for the LGBTQQIAAPP education professional community, within Penn GSE and the greater Philadelphia area. We are dedicated to making GSE more inclusive of gender and sexuality issues and LGBTQQIAAPP identities and people in their institutional practices, research agendas and curricula. Penn GSE Pride Alliance is a transformative force in creating a more critical and queer-oriented school and community culture.
