The large complex of ruins famously known as 'Trajan's Market' or 'Mercati di Traiano' in the world's most ancient city of Rome, Italy experienced a remarkable blend of archaeology, fashion and environmental awareness on 5th of July 2021. The event name was "Phygital Sustainability Expo" organized by 'Sustainable Fashion Innovation Society', a not-for-profit association that has aimed to intensify and endorse businesses from the Fashion industry that support sustainability of the environment and ecology in their manufacturing and production processes.
Prof Antonio Giordano, Founder & Director at Sbarro Health Research Organization, also participated at this event and presented a report on 'relationship of pollution and health'. Prof Giordano also serves as the Coordinator for the group of Health and Environment for the Italian Ministry of Health.
The event also witnessed participation from range of brands which are into up-cycling and recycling of clothes, pesticide free clothes, the world famous Italian tailoring and much more.
The event was exceptional and was worth noting not only for it's setting in the historical city of Rome but also for it's message, the message that the world's prestigious Italian Fashion industry came forward to raise awareness for environmental sustainability and to ensure that it is operating with respect to the ecosystems.
