Join us for a magical morning of Peek a Leaf! — a hands-on autumn art activity designed especially for young children and their families. Together, we’ll celebrate the colours of fall as we create beautiful leaf prints using stencils, soft sponges, and warm autumn paint shades like red, orange, and yellow.
Little hands, big magic! ✨
Children will place their leaf stencil, dab on bright autumn colors, and with one exciting lift — a beautiful, colorful leaf will appear like magic! 🍁
This event is specifically tailored for current Penn student parents, postdocs parents, and visiting scholars with young children who are registered members of the Family Resource Center.

The Spooktacular Halloween Playdate is an annual event that invites Halloween traditions like costumes and candy for families with young children to gather and celebrate together.🎃🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Featuring spooky-themed snacks and activities, all ages can expect to have a great time. Families are welcome to dress-up👻dance💃, trade stories, and participate in hands-on (and a little messy) fun!!🧛🏻‍♂️
This event is OPEN to student, staff, faculty, postdoc, and visiting scholar parents with young children.
Registration is requested. This opportunity is sponsored by the Family Resource Center and the Penn Women’s Center.

10:30 - 10:50am - Read Aloud session📖
10:50 - 11:00am - Get ready for a trick-or-treat style costume stroll back to the Family Center
11:00 - 11:10am - Trick-or-Treat from Penn Women’s Center to the Family Center🍬🍭
11:10 - 11:45am - Halloween Playdate in the Family Center! Enjoy spooky-themed snacks, sensory play, and other games with Penn families🃏🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒
11:45am - Clean up clean up, everybody everywhere, clean up clean up, messy things are quite a scare!🧹
The Family Center will close by 12pm.

Meet at 10:30am in the patio garden of the Penn Women’s Center, 3643 Locust Walk. Families who prefer to go directly to the Family Center are welcome to be in the Center as early as 10:30am.

There is a front and side building entrance, both with a device for Penn Card swipe-access as well as touch screen doorbells. The Family Center can be found when you come down the stairwell, or select “B” in the elevator.
