Next Tuesday, join the Goodwin College community for the final Goodwin Great Talks session of fall quarter. Giuseppe Salomone, PhD, Assistant Vice President and University Registrar at Drexel, will lead a discussion of discussing gender, s*x and understanding gender awareness.

Gender and s*x exist in a continuum and are ever-changing, and gender awareness can be seen as a process because of our ways of thinking about ourselves, others and the world as gendered. Topics of discussion will include gender, s*x, gender identity, gender expression, s*xual orientation, personal pronouns and chosen names.

We were so proud to celebrate our graduating veterans last night.
The many roads that brought them to Drexel University and the Center for Military and Veteran Services after their service in the armed forces are impressive on their own. But the paths they are all taking from here - high-level jobs in private industry, graduate school, healthcare, and more - are truly impressive.

Alpha Bravo Canine is the only non-profit in Greater Philadelphia to raise, train, and donate service dogs to veterans suffering from mental, emotional, and physical combat-related disabilities. These highly skilled service dogs support the physical and emotional wellbeing, quality of life, daily functioning, and independence of veterans. This session will include discussions on service dog skills and training, ADA application and compliance, and interacting with service dogs in public.

The Goodwin College of Professional Studies mourns the loss of Richard C. Goodwin '48, HD '04, a loyal Drexel alumnus, philanthropist and businessman. He died on June 24, 2022, at the age of 94.

Mr. Goodwin's extraordinary commitment to his alma mater led him to make a landmark commitment in 2000 to name the Richard C. Goodwin College of Professional Studies. An ardent believer in peaceful co-existence, his personal anthem was John Lennon’s "Imagine." Dr. Goodwin will live on in the people who knew and loved him, and in the lives and institutions he touched through his generosity. We share in the sorrow and loss of this great citizen of the world.
