Last weekend, 13 of our brothers represented Alpha-Tau at the 2026 TKE Conclave in New Orleans, and it was an incredible weekend full of brotherhood, connecting with Tekes from across the country, and celebrating everything TKE stands for.

On top of it all, our chapter was honored with the following 2025-2026 Chapter Excellence Awards:
• Achievement for Academic Success
• Recruitment for Chapter Size
• Achievement for Education
• Honorable Mention: Involvement for Community Service

We’re truly grateful to our brothers, alumni, and Tau Kappa Epsilon for helping us build something we’re proud of, and even more grateful for the memories made along the way.

Congratulations to our Winter Term TKE of the Term, Joe Starr. Joe is a third-year Marketing Major and currently serves as the New Member Educator of our chapter. Through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to Alpha Tau’s continued success, he exemplifies the values and principles of TKE!

When asked why he joined TKE, Joe said:
“Joining Tau Kappa Epsilon completely changed my college experience. As a transfer student coming from community college after a year and a half, it was difficult at first to feel connected and truly involved in university life. When I found TKE, I immediately felt welcomed by a group of people who pushed me to be more social, confident, and involved on campus. The brotherhood helped lift me out of my shell and gave me the opportunity to finally feel like a real university student again instead of just someone attending classes.
Since joining, TKE has motivated me to step into leadership roles and challenge myself in ways I never expected. I became the only member in our chapter to simultaneously hold two chair positions, Athletics Chair and Greek Week Chair, while also serving on the executive board as New Member Educator. Balancing all three roles has taught me responsibility, leadership, communication, and how to lead by example. Every opportunity within TKE has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped shape me into a more confident leader and person. I’m proud of the impact I’ve been able to make within the chapter, and even more grateful for the brothers who encouraged me to grow along the way.
To incoming freshmen and anyone considering rushing, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and take chances. College becomes so much more meaningful when you surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed and push you to become the best version of yourself. The connections, memories, and opportunities you gain can truly change your entire college experience. Rush TKE!”

This past week, we had the honor of initiating three new members into the bond of Tau Kappa Epsilon. We are proud to welcome these men to Alpha Tau and our brotherhood🔻

Huge shoutout to our brother Blessing Kwateng for his work as our Deepher Dude representative this year. With his help, Tau Kappa Epsilon was able to raise over $2,700 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the most in this year’s event! Congratulations to Blessing and his team who made this possible!

Congratulations to our Fall Term TKE of the Month, Matt Schmidt. Matt is a third-year Chemical Engineering student and currently serves as the President of our chapter. His leadership, dedication, and commitment to the continued success of Alpha Tau exemplify the values of TKE!

When asked why he joined TKE, Matt said:
“I joined TKE because I recognized the value and opportunity it offered me. TKE stands out for the diversity within its brotherhood, with members from different backgrounds, interests, and strengths, all united by a shared commitment to excellence. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was welcomed with genuine support and friendship, and I knew I had found something special. TKE excels in both academics and personal growth, setting it apart. Recently, I stepped into the role of President of the Alpha Tau chapter, and the experience has been life-changing. Leading my brothers and shaping the direction of our chapter has been both an honor and a responsibility I take great pride in. TKE has challenged me in ways I never expected. Every achievement since joining has pushed me beyond my comfort zone, and that growth has defined my college experience. I am proud of the leader l’ve become and grateful for the brothers who have pushed me to be better every day. To the freshmen entering Drexel: take risks, introduce yourself to new people, and embrace opportunities that challenge you. Growth begins the moment you step outside your comfort zone, I know it did for me.”

Over the weekend, we had the honor to send 12 of our men to the Pisano Family RLC in Jersey City! This was an invaluable experience in leadership and brotherhood!
