🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Siham Al Qaradawi on receiving the prestigious Qatar Encouragement Award in Chemistry!

Dr. Al Qaradawi joined Temple University in 2010 as the first Fulbright Scholar to work with Dr. Magid Abou-Gharbia’s Drug Discovery team at the Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research. Since then, she has continued to build an impressive research career and contribute to the field of chemistry.

Her achievement is a wonderful example of the lasting impact of international scholarly exchange and Temple’s commitment to welcoming and supporting visiting scholars from around the world.

🌍📖 Finding community can start with one small step.

For Suhana Khan, that step was stopping by the Templar Yearbook table during her first week at Temple after arriving from Bangladesh. What began as a way to get involved grew into a defining part of her college experience — eventually leading her to serve as editor-in-chief of Temple’s 102-year-old yearbook.

Through Templar, Suhana found friendship, leadership, creativity and a deeper connection to Temple’s diverse community while helping tell the stories of students from around the world.

Temple University Japan is entering a new era of growth 🌏🇯🇵

After surpassing 3,500 degree-seeking students for the first time in history and expanding to Kyoto last year, TUJ is now opening the brand-new Hillside Center in Tokyo this fall.

The new eight-story campus will support first-year students with modern classrooms, study lounges, fitness and recreation spaces, rooftop gardens, esports rooms, and more — all designed to help students thrive academically and socially from day one.

Temple researchers are helping uncover and restore one of the largest cold-water coral reef systems in the world — deep beneath the coast of Argentina 🌊

Professor Erik Cordes and PhD candidate Morgan Will are part of an international research team exploring these little-known ecosystems and developing new ways to restore damaged reefs.
