Penn Wharton Public Policy Initiative will be hosting a speaker event on the Delaware Blockchain Initiative, a cutting-edge venture happening in the state of Delaware which aims to record stock certificates and other financial records on the blockchain. The speakers will be Caitlin Long (https://caitlin-long.com/), who left a senior position at Morgan Stanley last year to become president and chairman of Sybmiont (https://symbiont.io/), and Andrea Tinianow (https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreatinianow/), Director of Global Delaware, the international marketing arm for the state of Delaware.

Joseph Solomon is TEC's new Co-President. Joe is a Junior in Chemical & Bimolecular Engineering, minoring in Engineering Entrepreneurship. He joined TEC in Fall 2014, under the Internal Affairs Committee. Joe then served as Vice President for Internal and Financial Affairs. He has been and will continue to be the keystone of our organization.

Congratulations to University of Pennsylvania entreprenuers Alexander David, Shashwata Narain, and Siddharth Shah on Team "Fermento" for winning the 2016 Y-Prize Competition.

Their proposal "speeds up the fermentation process in beer production by up to 9 times while maintaining alcohol quality and composition at an industrial scale". In winning the competition, the group won the right to commercialize their design, proving the desire at Penn to pursue both Technology and Entreprenuership!
