Over the next few months, DUCOM SGA will be spotlighting various SGA members who keep this organization running smoothly and effectively. Our very first feature of the year is SGA President Diane Sun!
Diane is a current 4th year medical student and President of the DUCOM Student Government Association. Originally from Boston, she pursued her undergraduate career at Emory University and has decided to continue her training in Internal Medicine after graduation this May. She is interested in hematology/oncology in the future.
As a longstanding member of SGA, Diane has dedicated time and effort towards making DUCOM a better place. She has organized large events such as Winter Formal, Welcome Back, Fall Bash, and Golden Apples during her years as a Class President. As SGA Vice President, she focused on making contributions towards education within the East Falls community. As President of the SGA, she has added an additional event to the academic year, called Spring Fling, which will be held for the first time this coming April, and has revised the SGA Constitution to accommodate changes to the first year curriculum.
She loves being a member of SGA because of the changes this organization has made to improve DUCOM, and hopes that SGA will continue to ease students’ lives as they transition into becoming physicians. Her time in SGA has been one of the most memorable throughout her medical school career.
