The Maricopa Hoop of Learning (HOL) Program is an early high school-to-college bridge program administered by the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD). The program was first implemented the summer of 1995 through the partnership between Phoenix College and the Phoenix Union High School District. The Hoop of Learning Program has since expanded to include all ten Maricopa Community Col

leges, all of which are in partnership with high school districts and tribal communities in their respective service areas. The Hoop of Learning at GateWay Community College began in 2001 and continues to grow and develop opportunities to educational success. The Hoop of Learning Program serves American Indian students by providing access to higher education during such a critical period in their educational pathway.
