Today we honor Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when news of freedom finally reached enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a reminder of how long justice can be delayed, but never denied. It’s a day of reflection, resilience, and the ongoing fight for Black liberation.

At Psi Sigma Phi, we recognize the importance of remembering history, amplifying Black voices, and standing for equity in all spaces.

Freedom should never be delayed again.
