Anybody missing a phone, it was found a couple weeks ago, by the west North Route Road turnoff. If it’s yours it’s at the JDC.

The public celebrates the extraordinary.

Those behind the walls know this job is built on the ordinary.

Showing up when you’re exhausted.

Showing up after a difficult shift.

Showing up after missing holidays, birthdays, and family dinners.

Showing up when you’re frustrated with the system but refusing to let your standards slip.

Nobody hands out medals for another uneventful shift.

Nobody makes headlines because you kept the peace.

But every professional knows the truth.

The best correctional officers aren’t remembered for the fights they were in.

They’re remembered because they prevented the fights that never happened.

Because they stayed calm when others couldn’t.

Because they were dependable when it mattered.

Real professionalism isn’t loud.

It’s consistency.

Shift after shift.

Year after year.

That’s what earns respect from the people who truly understand this profession.

Stand Watch.
