artment offers a unique slate of degree programs designed to fit the career goals of each student. Recent graduates have gone on to successful positions in churches and schools, and have pursued further study in performance, conducting, and church music at well-known institutions and seminaries.

We share with great sadness the passing of Dr. Cleamon Downs, retired Professor of Music at Louisiana Christian University, who died while visiting his sister in Orlando, Florida, after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Since joining our beloved university in the fall of 1979, he faithfully taught Music History, Singing, and Church Music courses. He also led the Louisianians, the university's all-male ensemble, with passion, humor, and excellence. His legacy lives on through generations of students and voices he shaped. He will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time, and we mourn together as a community with gratitude and love.
