We had a wonderful visit last week with Mr. James English - Class of 2005. 🦅

I asked James to send me a small write up about his life and visit! We sure are proud of you, James!

“I am married to my lovely wife Regan and have three kids: Sage, Grant and Lincoln. I was on my way to KY for a Strategy meeting and presentation when you texted me to come visit. I really enjoyed walking the purpose Rd with you reminiscing of the past and talking about the future. I love what investments have done to the campus, a very modern look and a place for a new generation to be proud of. I am glad I got to see my brick and other projects at ALC that I have given back for. I am proud to have gone to ALC and I am committed to giving back to help ALC be a light in the mountains.”

Congratulations to our very own Bobby Ratliff on his 200th career win as the head coach of Perry Central High School’s softball team! Coach Ratliff played baseball at Alice Lloyd and is also a member of our Athletic Hall of Fame! Congrats, Coach Ratliff!

Sending out a HUGE congratulations to ALC & JBS graduate, Josh Cook, who led the George Rogers Clark High School Men’s Basketball Team to an exciting 2026 State Championship win on March 21st in Rupp Arena (Lexington, KY)!! 🏀

Josh is originally from Knott County and is pictured with his wife, Shana, and daughter, Avery Kate. Also pictured with ALC alums, Tim and Katrina Short!

Congratulations on your second state championship win, Coach Cook! We are surely proud of you! 💙
