Job Summary/Description:
WYMT-TV is looking for a dynamic MMJ to join its award-winning news team. Successful candidates must utilize strong editorial, journalistic, and communication skills. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to report, shoot, and edit videos, and post web stories/pictures/videos from both the field and the newsroom.
WYMT has a proven record of turning out solid journalists capable of moving up in the ranks quickly. Three years ago, our 11 pm anchor jumped to Miami, Florida. Former ESPN anchor Jay Crawford started his career with WYMT. Another former Sports Director, Derek Forrest, recently accepted a position in Cleveland and a former producer is working in New York City. We work hard and have fun! Great station! Great company!
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited, to):
• Deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner
• Use editorial judgment to help determine the content of the newscasts
• Work with producer and team to create unique, fast-paced newscasts

Position Title: Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Description of Work

General Statement of Duties: This role involves providing administrative support to the VP for Advancement, managing day-to-day administrative tasks. It also involves handling clerical duties, organizing and maintaining a detailed travel schedule, and supporting key advancement functions.

Immediate Supervisor: Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

License or Certification: None

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks assigned by the VP for Advancement.
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, ensuring prompt response and follow-up.
• Assist VP for Advancement in coordinating travel to visit donors. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing projected visit reports, make donor visit appointments and travel arrangements.
• Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as requested.
• Assist with donor research.
• Prepare itineraries for donor visits and be available to meet/greet donors and provide guided tours as necessary (including occasional evenings and weekends).
• Prepare monthly Contact Report for Development personnel.
• Prepare monthly credit card reconciliation.
• Assist with Institutional Advancement activities and events.
• Supervise student worker(s).
• Supervise students making donor calls/writing thank-you notes.
• Serve as the point of contact for the Institutional Advancement Office, welcoming visitors and managing inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist all Institutional Advancement staff, as needed, to help complete administrative and clerical tasks, which occur in the Institutional Advancement Office.
• Work to help retain and graduate students.

Qualifications for Appointment:

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• May be required to wear protective clothing such as goggles, face shields,
gloves, or hard hat.
