The PSU Strides to Beijing and Guangzhou 2017 study abroad trip will be from May 13 - May 26, 2017 in Guangzhou and Beijing, China.
Part of the Pearl River Delta Mega City, the southern city of Guangzhou offers a fascinating opportunity to observe the world's fastest-growing economy in an ancient, Silk Road city. In Guangzhou, the group will explore historical places and businesses and learn about China’s economy.
Next, the group will fly to the capitol of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing, the nation’s political, cultural, and educational center and the home to most of China’s largest state-owned companies. In Beijing, the group will visit many UNESCO World Heritage sites and China’s leading IT and pharmaceutical businesses.
Developed by PSU’s sister school, South China University of Technology (SCUT) in collaboration with ChinaSense, an experienced study abroad company, the program will be led by Dr. Sang-Heui Lee of the Department Management and Marketing and will include the option of 3 hours of course credit for MGMKT 601-82 or MGMTK 821-82.
The estimated program cost of $3,700 per participant includes round-trip airfare from Joplin, MO; 5 nights’ accommodation in Guangzhou (University guest hotel) and 7 nights’ in Beijing (4-star business hotel); ground transportation in China and airfare from Guangzhou to Beijing; and most meals, entrance fees, and lecture fees.
This trip is an outstanding opportunity to discover the land of emerging dragon in a very welcoming environment.
