In observance of Memorial Day, campus will be closed Monday, May 25.

As we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, we encourage our campus community to take a moment to reflect this Memorial Day weekend.

The Pittsburg State University Veterans Memorial is open for all who wish to visit, remember, and pay tribute.

This Memorial Day, we invite you to spend a quiet moment honoring those who gave so much for our country.

While the PSU Veterans Memorial will not host an official ceremony this year, the memorial remains open 24 hours a day for all who wish to visit, reflect, and remember.

Whether you stop by at sunrise, sunset, or somewhere in between, this space stands as a lasting tribute to courage, sacrifice, and service.

Right across from the Bicknell Center at 1711 S. Homer, you can be part of the Pittsburg 150 Celebration! On May 20, the day Pittsburg was founded in 1876, head to the field next to the soccer pitch and the Pittsburg 150 Committee will take an aerial photo like the one shown! Parking will be available in the lot between the Bicknell Center and the Weede Building, and in the lot west of the Weede.

4:00 p.m. - Kelce College of Business
6:30 p.m. - College of Arts & Sciences

Saturday, May 16, 2026
9:00 a.m. - Crossland College of Technology
11:30 a.m. - College of Education

The ceremonies will be held at the Garfield W. Weede Physical Education Building, 1701 S. Homer St. All guests are invited to attend. The ceremonies will also be live-streamed at pittstate.edu/watch.
