As, many of you can see our country have changed drastically over the last four years for the GOOD, under the leadership of President Biden. With him dropping out of the race and he now endorsing Kamala Harris it is very imperative that we as an organization pushed forward in making sure her name is on the ballot first, and secondly, she wins. Ladies and gentlemen with no further ado, we have to use that same energy that we used when Obama was running. Finally, do not silence your VOTE, by not voting. Too many people fought to ensure that we have this opportunity as people of color so now I say to you, it’s time that we stand up for unity and stand up to be united as a people.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. knew exactly what was at stake when he uttered those famous words. Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of one of the most pivotal civil rights leaders. Because of his leadership, service and sacrifice we now have a blueprint to inspire, mobilize and transform our present circumstances today and into the future.

Whether you decide to dedicate this day to service or advocacy, it is critical to remember the selflessness of our dear Brother King and the courage that he demonstrated during times of challenge and controversy.
