Ethics action is back!

The first one of the semester will be held in-person on September 14 from 6 to 8 PM in the Pitt Public Health building room 1155!

This talk will examine the role of law in clinical ethics consultation and consider how legal frameworks should inform ethical analysis and recommendations.

Join University of Pittsburgh Pre-Health Resource Center and the PittBioethics for a virtual lunch and learn on Monday 8/31 at noon!

Learn how to understand ethical issues in health care which is critical to your success as a future healthcare provider. This session will introduce you to the field of bioethics and opportunities to learn more about this topic in Pitt's Bioethics Certificate Program, the Ethics in Action Series, and other opportunities. Important topics include: health equity, end-of-life decision making, informed consent, decision-making capacity, confidentiality and privacy, organ donation, religious and cultural implications in health and medicine, conflict resolution, human subjects research and distribution of scarce resources.
