This discussion explores how low wages and wage enforcement shape workers’ lives and how wage policy can either reproduce or disrupt structural inequities. Drawing on critical wage theory, lived experience, and community-based research panelist will frame wages not only as an economic issue but as a central question of racial, gender, and social justice.

As we approach the anniversary of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting which took place within a few miles from the University of Pittsburgh, the Center for Applied Research on Targeted Violence (CARVt), in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh School of Law - Center for Civil Rights and Racial Justice, invites you to a community screening of the HBO Original documentary A Tree of Life: The Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting.
The event will feature a panel of survivors from the film, sharing firsthand reflections on resilience, healing, and the impact of that day on our community.
