Traditional hearing aids focus on making sounds louder, yet millions of users still struggle to understand a simple conversation in a crowded room. πŸ‘‚

Researchers led by Hari Bharadwaj have developed an innovative acoustic signal processing strategy that directly addresses sensorineural hearing loss by correcting distorted tonotopic coding. By dynamically adapting to broadband sounds and tailoring compensation to each individual, this technology significantly improves speech clarity where conventional devices fall short.

Partner with Pitt to continue the development and rollout of this game-changing audiology technology! Learn more: https://inventions.pitt.edu/technologies/individualized-and-dynamic--07090
