Pitt Global Ties commits to welcoming our new international students into Pitt's campus community and fostering a true sense of belonging and support.

Specifically, the goals of Pitt Global Ties are as follows: to increase first-year international student retention and success; to accelerate and enhance international students’ sense of belonging and connectivity to the Pitt community; to provide first-year international students with appropriate resources and information critical to their transition to Pitt; to provide first-year international s

The cooled down temperatures in Pittsburgh today reminded us that we haven’t posted about our spring break cultural immersion trip in March!!🥶❄️
This year, Global Ties and OIS took a group of undergraduate international students to Anchorage, Alaska! We learned a lot about the Alaskan history and culture (and about each other) through our visits to the Matanuska Glacier, Alaska Native Heritage Center, Wildlife Conservation Center, World’s Largest Chocolate Waterfall, Mount Alyeska, Anchorage Museum, and very importantly, the northern lights!!! We miss everyone on the trip and hope to see you again at our events and trips next year💙💛
