Are ”Where are they now Wednesdays” a thing?
Cuz we’re going to make them one!

Today we’re happy to highlight one of our inaugural MSAT graduates Julia Doolittle and congratulate her and her team Crosscutters Baseball on their recent MLB Draft League Championship win!

Julia graduated in May and joined the team this summer.
She was excited for this role because she was the sole athletic trainer for the team. Julia was responsible for every player’s medical needs, including practice/game coverage, injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, documentation, etc.

We had a great time this morning at the P3R Pittsburgh Steelers 5k Run Walk!

Your Duquesne Athletic Training MSAT1’s joined forces with Pitt Athletic Training Program MSAT students to provide finish line medical coverage for participants running and walking the 5k as well as the Kids Fun Run.

Thanks to John Panos for setting this up for the 33rd year in a row. We’re honored to be involved and can’t wait for next year!

Friday Night Lights are back! And so are the lights on every other night of the week. 🏈 ⚽️ 🏐

Our MSAT1s are out across the Pittsburgh area, working alongside their incredible preceptors to keep student-athletes healthy, safe, and ready to compete.

One of the pillars of the Duquesne MSAT program framework is our focus on Global Healthcare through collaboration.

Each year we welcome several international immersive students from Dublin City University (DCU) and the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone (TUS) to live, study and work alongside our students and Duquesne University Sports Medicine staff.

Please help us in welcoming Emily, Simone and Cara from DCU and Liam from TUS!! We are excited to have you join our Duquesne MSAT community and look forward to learning, collaborating, and sharing experiences together over the coming weeks.

Flashback Friday

Throwing it back to last week, when we celebrated the official groundbreaking for the new home of the John G. Rangos, Sr. School of Health Sciences here on campus!

Our MSAT1 students showed up in full force alongside faculty and staff to celebrate this exciting milestone. We were especially thrilled to have MSAT1 student Addison Tangredi serve as an official soil-turner!
And, of course, the rest of the students got their chance to break ground, too!

The new building is expected to open in Fall 2028 and represents an exciting investment in the future of health sciences and the greater community.

We’re thrilled to be part of this next chapter and can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes us!
