Global Health in Spain recap! Our GHS 2026 cohort has spent a packed and rewarding 18 days in Malaga, Tangier, and Barcelona studying global health, meeting local medical and law students, and observing their environments in relation to health and healthcare systems.
Activities including meeting with impactful organizations like Women in Global Health Spain, Asociaciรณn Arrabal-AID, and Fondation Orient-Occident to discuss missions such as supporting migrants and refugees in Tangier and highlighting contributions of women in health fields.
The group also got to participate in cultural activities such as a cooking class, a flamenco show, a local scavenger hunt, and a day trip to Ronda.
These students are leaving thinking about the similarities and differences between healthcare systems in the U.S., Spain, and Morocco, and how their experiences can shape their work and studies back home ๐ช๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฆ
