Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh, and to the beginning of your college journey! You will find that the first year of college is one of change, excitement, and challenges. The Office of the First Year Experience (FYE) is here to help you navigate college life. To assist with your transition, we provide experiences designed to help you acclimate to campus and connect with your peers. The Firs

t Year Mentors (FYMs) are upper-class student leaders who are here to support new students and their transition to Pitt. We have 19 FYMs working throughout the summer to plan fun and exciting activities to help you get connected during PittStart and Orientation. During Fall and Spring semesters, the FYMs will be planning and promoting campus events to make sure your first year at Pitt is outstanding!
