Rooted in Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, Freemasonry makes good men better.
šŸ“ 35 West Prospect Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 in 1872 is a brotherhood of men committed to personal growth, moral character, and service to others. Rooted in tradition yet grounded in modern life, our Lodge brings together men from all walks of life—fathers, sons, tradesmen, professionals, veterans, and leaders—who shar

e a desire to live with purpose and integrity. Guided by the timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, we strive to support one another as equals, care for those in need, and continually seek self-improvement. Within our walls, titles fade and character matters. We meet on the level, work by the square, and part upon the plumb—building better men so they may strengthen their families, communities, and future generations. Freemasonry is not a shortcut to success, nor a social club without substance. It is a journey—one that challenges a man to reflect, grow, and hold himself accountable to higher standards. Through ritual, fellowship, mentorship, and charity, Freemasonry exists to make good men better. Located in the heart of Crafton, Pennsylvania, our Lodge proudly serves the surrounding community while preserving a legacy passed down through generations. Whether you are a Brother, a friend, or a man seeking something more meaningful in life, you are welcome to learn who we are and what we stand for.

Today, we pause not for celebration, but for remembrance.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom was purchased at the highest cost by brave men and women who laid down their lives for this nation. Their sacrifice gave us the opportunity to gather with family, enjoy fellowship, worship freely, and live as Americans.

As Freemasons, we are taught the values of honor, duty, brotherhood, and service to others. Today we remember those who embodied those virtues to the fullest extent possible.

May we never forget the fallen.
May we live lives worthy of their sacrifice.
And may we continue to stand united as Americans, neighbors, and Brothers.

From all of us at Crafton Guyasuta Lodge #513, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Come welcome a newly raised Brother tomorrow night!

Brethren, Masonry is not kept alive by buildings, dues cards, or titles… it is kept alive by men showing up for one another.

On May 20th, a man will take the final step in his journey and be raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason at Crafton Guyasuta Lodge #513. Long after the words of the degree fade, he will remember one thing above all else… the sea of brethren standing beside him welcoming him into the brotherhood.

That is why attendance matters!

Every chair filled, every handshake given, every brother who travels to support this degree helps create a night this candidate will carry for the rest of his life. Nights like these remind us why we knocked at the door ourselves. They remind us why this fraternity has survived generations of hardship, war, and change. Because good men continue to gather in unity, tradition, and brotherhood.

This degree will be conferred by PM Jim Kerr, and we encourage brethren from every lodge to come support what Masonry is truly about: making good men better and ensuring the future of our Craft remains strong.

Food served at 6:30 PM
3rd Degree begins at 7:30 PM

It’s been a relentless—and rewarding—couple of months for the Crafton Guyasuta #513 family and District 37.

We had the honor of hosting the official visit of our DDGM, David G. McClelland, setting the tone for a strong and active season. We followed that by hosting a School of Instruction, sharpening our ritual and strengthening the foundation of our Craft.

Our lodge has been hard at work in the degrees as well—conferring multiple First and Second Degrees, including a special guest First Degree led by PM of Bethel Lodge #789 and President of the Widows Sons Tyrian Chapter, Thomas ā€œHudyā€ Hudepohl. Brotherhood in action, exactly as it should be.

We proudly represented in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, showing the community who we are and what we stand for.

And last but certainly not least—District 37 has officially welcomed its own Widows Sons chapter: The Sidonians. A major step forward, and a powerful addition to the brotherhood in our district.

If you’re a Brother and feeling idle—you shouldn’t be. There’s always something happening, always a way to get involved, and always work to be done.

If you’re not yet a Brother but feel that pull—reach out. Message us here on Facebook and take the first step toward something greater.

Follow this page to stay up to date with upcoming events, degrees, and fundraisers.

Stay active. Stay involved. Keep the Light burning.

šŸŒ… Happy Easter from Crafton Guyasuta Lodge #513 šŸŒ…

On this day, we are reminded that even in the darkest hour, Light will always return.

Easter represents renewal, resurrection, and the triumph of life over death—principles that deeply echo within Freemasonry. As Masons, we are taught to walk in darkness so that we may better appreciate the Light. Today stands as a powerful symbol of that journey… a reminder that no matter how heavy the burden, hope is never lost.

Just as the stone was rolled away, so too are we called to rise—better men, stronger in faith, and more committed to our duties to God, our families, and our fellow man.

Let this day renew your spirit, strengthen your resolve, and remind you of the Light we all seek.

From our Brotherhood to you and yours, we wish you a blessed and meaningful Easter.

Brethren,

Real leadership isn’t just words, it’s action. And our DDGM, Brother David G. McClelland PM, proved exactly that. Because of his vision and determination, Freemasonry will have a float in Pittsburgh’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s now a chance for the world to see who we are, what we stand for, and the strength of our Brotherhood.

But a float means nothing without Masons beside it.

This is our call to step up. To show the city that our Lodge, our District, and our Craft are alive, united, and proud. Let’s honor the work that was put in by showing up in numbers, standing tall, and representing Freemasonry the way it deserves, with class, grit, and unbreakable brotherhood.

No sidelines. No excuses. Just Masons showing up for one another and for the legacy we carry.

Let’s make Pittsburgh feel our presence. I’ll see you there.

If you are a brother and your interested in coming, message this page and I will give you the details.

Fraternally,

WM Joseph Martelli

šŸ“… 2026 Lodge Schedule

Brethren,

Below is our 2026 schedule, and I want to take a moment to stress how important attendance and active participation are to the continued strength, harmony, and success of our Lodge.

Our Lodge does not grow by accident, it grows when Brethren show up, engage, and support one another. In particular, I strongly encourage everyone to make every effort to attend and support the DDGM Official Visits. These visits are not just formalities; they are opportunities to demonstrate unity, pride, and respect for our District and our Craft.

Additionally, attendance at the School of Instruction is vital. These schools deepen your personal knowledge and understanding of our ritual, laws, and customs, but just as importantly, when your knowledge increases, the performance and professionalism of the entire Lodge increases. Strong Lodges are built by informed and engaged members.

Showing up matters.
Participation matters.
Support matters.

Let’s commit ourselves in 2026 to being present, to learning, and to supporting one another, so that our Lodge continues to move forward with excellence, pride, and Masonic light.

Fraternally,
Worshipful Master

A Masonic New Year’s Message

As the final moments of this year quietly pass into history, we stand together Brethren, families, and friends at the threshold of a new beginning.

The New Year has always held special meaning to Freemasons. It is more than the turning of a calendar page, it is a moment of reflection, renewal, and recommitment. Just as the Craft teaches us to take rough stones and, through patience and labor, make them fit for a greater purpose, the dawn of January 1st reminds us that each year is a fresh working tool placed in our hands.

Historically, January has long been associated with renewal within Freemasonry. In January of 1723, The Constitutions of the Free-Masons compiled by Dr. James Anderson were first published, helping to formally shape the principles, obligations, and structure of modern Freemasonry. That work helped unify the Craft, setting a foundation of brotherly love, relief, and truth that we still build upon today.

So as this new year begins, we are reminded that our work is never finished. Each day offers us another opportunity to walk uprightly, to meet on the level, and to part on the square. Another chance to be better husbands, fathers, sons, friends, and Brothers. Another chance to be a light in dark places and a steady hand where guidance is needed.

May this year bring renewed strength to our Brotherhood, peace to our homes, healing to those who are hurting, and comfort to those who carry loss in their hearts. May we honor the past, labor faithfully in the present, and move into the future guided by the Light we all share.

From our hearts to yours, Happy New Year!
May the Great Architect of the Universe watch over you, bless your labors, and grant you health, harmony, and purpose in the year ahead.
