A record-setting move-out season. ♻️

Pitt’s Move Out Clean Out program collected 25,637 pounds of usable items from students moving out of campus housing this spring, helping keep kitchenware, electronics, nonperishable food and more out of landfills. Pitt research was in low Earth orbit, geosynchronous orbit and on the Moon, all at the same time. 🙀

Student-developed technology from Pitt’s NSF Center for Space, High-performance and Resilient Computing helped power three successful projects across three regions of space last year, a rare milestone for a university.
