Job description below:
Positions require approximately 9-12 hours per week. Pay rate is $9.00/hr. Application deadline: March 23, 2021 (midnight).
Special Project Duties Include:
• Co-lead special projects for the Explore EMS LLC and EMS Expo.
• Sit on committees that assist with planning and preparing for special programs and events such the EMS Expo and Women in STEM events.
• Develop resources for and participate in K-12 STEM outreach.
• Interact and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students from other campus departments.
• Attend student assistant staff training and regular meetings.
• Support the College of EMS student organizations and the Dean’s Office.
Office Duties Include:
• Staff reception desk and greet visitors.
• Answer phones and redirect callers or take messages.
• Write, edit, and revise internal and external professional communications such as emails, flyers, and social media posts.
• Maintain spreadsheets.
• Accept small cash payments, give correct change, and log sales.
• Oversee student use of the CenterPOINT.
• Answer questions and direct students to appropriate campus resources.
• Monitor items available for check-out.
• Organize CenterPOINT and assist in keeping it clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled as a student at UW-Platteville.
• Must be on academic good standing.
• Students in College of EMS majors preferred.
