From our friend and alumnus, Benjamin Pomerance:

"It's almost time! This Friday, at 7:30 p.m., the award-winning period instrument ensemble L'Harmonie des Saisons from Montreal will bring a stunning rendition of Handel's Messiah to Plattsburgh, complete with vocal soloists who have performed in many of the world's greatest concert halls and the talented singers of the Burlington Baroque Festival.

This is a rare opportunity to hear Messiah as Handel intended it in 1742, played on period instruments and using historically informed performance practices -- and the first time, to my knowledge, that Plattsburgh has ever welcomed such a performance to town.

Tickets are going fast -- but there are still some available! Here is the link to purchase them, if you have not done so already:

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will gladly answer them.

Thank you, as always, for all that you do in support of the arts in our region. Looking forward to the honor of your presence on Friday night!"

Burlington Baroque and L’Harmonie des saisons, under the direction of Eric Milnes, is set to enthrall audiences with its performance of George Frideric Handel’s timeless sacred oratorio, MESSIAH, at the First Presbyterian Church of Plattsburgh on Friday, December 19, 2025.

From Alumnus Benjamin Pomerance:

"It's time! Tickets for the December 19 performance in Plattsburgh of Handel's Messiah -- performed on period instruments by the award-winning Baroque orchestra L'Harmonie des Saisons, directed by the internationally renowned Baroque music expert Eric Milnes, and featuring the Burlington Baroque Festival singers with world-class soloists whose credits span from Carnegie Hall to nearly all of the major halls of Europe -- are now on sale!

Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear Handel's Messiah performed using the same types of instruments, the same performance practices, and the same stylistic choices that the audience at the premiere of Messiah would have heard in 1742.

To purchase tickets, simply click on this link: Handel's Messiah presented by Burlington Baroque and L'Harmonie des saisons | Seven Days Tickets

This is the first time L'Harmonie des Saisons has ever performed at a venue in Plattsburgh. Let's welcome them with a full sanctuary of music-lovers at the First Presbyterian Church (34 Brinkerhoff Street) on the night of December 19!

Please let me know if you experience any challenges purchasing your tickets, and I will gladly assist.

Looking forward to seeing you there!"
