Students from all levels of the Nursing department were invited to attend convocation on September 1st. Along with learning more about becoming a nurse, they participated in a scavenger hunt. Each group was led by the senior students and followed clues across campus while learning more about each other.

Last Thursday, first year students at SUNY Plattsburgh joined faculty for a tour of campus and the inaugural Gold Foundation ceremony acknowledging the vital role nurses play on the healthcare team and pledging to make the welfare of humanity and relief of suffering their primary concerns.

This pinning ceremony is a ritual that emphasizes compassionate, collaborative, and scientifically excellent care from their very first day of education as a healthcare professional.
