We're in postseason academic awards mode, that's good, and congratulations to five members of the Lakeland softball team on being named academic all-district team-Callie Linders, Sydney Meyer, Carlie Morrow, McKenzie Staudinger and Natalie Ziebell

Five members of the Lakeland University softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team when the organization announced its season awards Tuesday.

So we did have one more competition for a Muskie yet today. Preston Dos Santos of our men's track & field team took part in the St. Norbert Last Chance Meet this afternoon, competing in the 100 meters and the long jump in the meet giving athletes a late-season chance to improve their marks. Good extra opportunity taken advantage of by the Random Lake native:

DE PERE, Wis. – Lakeland University's Preston Dos Santos (So.-Random Lake, Wis.) competed one more time this season, taking part in the St. Norbert College Last Chance Meet Monday afternoon for the Muskies men's track & field team.

All-NACC softball honors were released Thursday afternoon in the midst of the conference tourney, for those who didn't see on other outlets here's more on our honorees. Congratulations to Callie Linders, Natalie Ziebell, Abby Heitman and Lily Pettit on all receiving recognition, as well as to Z and Sam Marchant on making the all-NACC Tournament team:

Our softball seniors missed their graduation ceremony due to the conference tournament ... so we gave them a ceremony tonight when they returned to campus!

Thank you to the family and friends who attended to support these seniors.

Thanks to faculty members April Arvan, Caleb Voskuil, Kim Viglietti, Athletics Director Dan Artamenko and Director of External Relations David Gallianetti for helping these seniors cross the stage to celebrate completion of their college degrees.

The softball season ends today with another close one in the NACC tourney and another extra-innings loss to Concordia Wisconsin. Falcons edge the Muskies 3-2 in nine innings, closing an excellent year for this team. Salute to all our seniors, and thank you all for supporting the team and all our Lakeland teams throughout the 2025-26 school year:

MONTGOMERY, Ill. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Rylie DuVal singled in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Lakeland University softball season ended with a 3-2 loss Saturday in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament.

Another clutch rally late to get the lead in a flat-out pitchers' duel, but a frustrating finish today as Dominican comes back to defeat Lakeland 2-1. Muskies are back in action at 11 a.m. Saturday against Concordia Wisconsin in an elimination game

MONTGOMERY, Ill. – Dominican University scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, including the winning run coming in on an error to deal the Lakeland University softball team a bitter 2-1 defeat in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament Friday evening.
