Lakeland University honors the significance of this day and the contributions, achievements and resilience of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

If you're in the Sheboygan area, check out the Juneteenth Celebration organized by our friends with Black-American Community Outreach featuring some exciting musical artists!

Dan Ognavic has been a central part of the music department and Lakeland Music Camp for many years. We celebrate his work that touched so many lives through music. Dan’s family help to continue that legacy through the scholarship in his name.

The late Dan Ognavic, a beloved member of the Sheboygan County music community and longtime Lakeland University music faculty member, dedicated his life to educating young musicians.
