We are so thankful for the guests who joined us on campus for UpClose last week! We’re praying for the juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who attended as they consider their college plans, and that wherever God leads them, they would remain grounded in His Word.

Earlier this week at our fall Spotlight event, former Broadway actor Stephen Trafton of RESOUND Arts helped us "Step Into the Story" of Scripture through his Living Letters performances of Philippians and Galatians. Through worship, teaching, and storytelling, he challenged us to faithfully live out God's Word and be witnesses for Christ with the gifts He has given us. He encouraged us to use the arts to inspire wonder and awe, pointing others to our wonderful Creator. Watch for recordings from this event coming soon on our website.

Students turned in their John journals last week, an assignment that requires hours of intentional study and reflection as they journal alongside the entire text of the Gospel of John.

Freshman Hadley especially enjoyed incorporating drawings alongside her notes and observations. Reflecting on the experience, she shared:

“Journaling through the book of John has humbled me in ways I didn’t expect. I thought I knew a lot more about the Gospel of John and Jesus’ path to the cross than I really did. It was a homework assignment I looked forward to, and my faith grew so much more than I anticipated.”
