𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐃3 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃1 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲!

During our spring season, the team had the opportunity to work with our sports performance coach, Dr. Caleb Voskuil, an Assistant Exercise Science Professor. He collected data that helps improve our performance both on and off the field.

Some of the focus areas included team nutrition and hydration, tracking top speed, distance covered, recovery performance, and much more—from CARB time and eating a lemon (that was a fun one) to other collected data. We’re grateful to Dr. Caleb for taking the time to travel to Florida with us for spring break, being in our dugout during home games, and helping us become the best program we can be.

We are utilizing technology that many Division I universities use with their athletes. Lakeland University's exercise science program has top-of-the-line equipment. Being a small university provides easier access, dedicated professors who care, and sports teams eager to utilize these resources! 🥎🤝📈

Our softball seniors missed their graduation ceremony due to the conference tournament ... so we gave them a ceremony tonight when they returned to campus!

Thank you to the family and friends who attended to support these seniors.

Thanks to faculty members April Arvan, Caleb Voskuil, Kim Viglietti, Athletics Director Dan Artamenko and Director of External Relations David Gallianetti for helping these seniors cross the stage to celebrate completion of their college degrees.

With unyielding determination, this team battled to the very end! The Muskies conclude the season with a 26-17-1 record, 16-8 conference record and a strong fourth-place finish at the conference tournament.
