Faculty Spotlight: Assistant Professor Michael Caligiuri, Management and Human Resources. 🌟📚
We would like to welcome a new faculty member to the College of Business Administration! With a Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University and a background in hotel management, Caligiuri brings a unique blend of academic expertise and real-world experience to our Management & Human Resources department.
Caligiuri specializes in diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with identity management and motivation in the workplace. He has been published in journals like the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, and Academy of Management Journal. 📖📈 Caligiuri also has 15 years in hotel management which will enrich our curriculum with invaluable insights and real-world examples. 🏨📝
In the classroom, his teaching style is all about experiential learning, bridging the gap between theory and practice, in line with Cal Poly Pomona’s own learn by doing philosophy.
