$15,000 in matching funds have been secured for a variety of College of Science accounts.

In addition to the $15,000 in matching funds for the College of Science accounts listed below, there are TWO other AMAZING match opportunities. On Wednesday, April 21 AND on Thursday, April 22 at 9am SHARP, there will be $2,500 in other matching funds available:
College of Science Dean’s Excellence match - $1,000, provided by Anonymous ‘67
Kinesiology and Health Promotion Excellence challenge - $4,000 will be unlocked if we reach 35 unique donors (any amount and any fund), provided by Anonymous ‘80
College of Science Dean’s Excellence challenge - $2,500 will be unlocked if we reach 25 gifts (any amount and any fund in the College of Science), provided by Paul Theobald ‘82
Computer Science Department Excellence match - $500, provided by Shuo Chen ‘92
Computer Science Scholarship challenge - $500 will be unlocked if 5 gifts (any amount) are made to any computer science fund, provided by Shuo Chen ‘92
Physics & Astronomy challenge - $500 will be unlocked if 5 gifts (any amount) are made to any physics & astronomy fund (any amount), provided by Pierre Manukain, MD ‘00
Mathematics & Statistics challenge - $500 will be unlocked if 5 gifts (any amount) are made to any mathematics & statistics fund, provided by Anonymous ‘92
Chemistry & Biochemistry challenge - $1,000 will be unlocked if 5 gifts (any amount) are made to any chemistry or biochemistry fund, provided by Brian Cooper ‘72
College of Science Scholarship challenge - $2,500 will be unlocked if 10 gifts (any amount) are made to any College of Science fund, provided by Richard ’89 and Sarah Lay
College of Science Dean’s Excellence challenge - $2,000 will be unlocked if 15 gifts (any amount) are made to any College of Science fund, provided by William Doub ‘68


Even you can’t make a gift, you can still help:

Have you ever seen our clown knifefish (Chitala ornata)? These fish will hunt at night and are not picky eaters. They'll pretty much eat anything they can fit in their mouth. Ours usually hides during the day but was pretty excited about getting a fresh water change this morning.

I was in the ethnobotany garden last evening and a small bat did a 360 around me and landed on a small toyon next to me. At first I thought is was a giant moth becuase it was fluttering much like a butterfly. When I went to snap a picture he took off.
