Greetings!

Please join us for our last meeting of the year which will be on Thursday, May 2nd in building 6-227 during 12:00 - 12:50 PM (U-Hour). We will be presenting a workshop on using Vagrant + Virtualbox to quickly create custom Linux VMs for cross-platform collaboration. Vagrant is an open-source virtualization framework that allows development teams to build for a Unix/Linux based production environment while still using their main Operating System/editor/workflows of choice. You don’t need any prior knowledge of any of the tools that will be used but if you would like to follow along we do ask that you please download and install Virtualbox + Virtualbox extensions, Git Bash (for Windows users) and Vagrant before the meeting. Please contact me via email or on Discord if you have any problems with these installs. As always we will have free food and this week we will have Round Table Pizza!

Just a reminder that CSS E-board elections are tomorrow! We have received nominees for several positions but we still need candidates for the Historian and Secretary positions. The Secretary is responsible for documenting all board meetings, amending bylaws and attends Science Council meetings. The Historian is responsible for maintaining and distributing promotional materials, recording all club meetings and maintaining the club website. If you have any interest whatsoever we highly encourage you to come out tomorrow and give it the old college try (pun fully intended).

You do not need to plan a formal presentation (e.g. no slides)- just come relaxed, and ready to tell us about yourself!

If you decide to run for a position, please fill out this form for nomination:

The club has over thirty years of history here on campus and a seat on the board can be an additional strong mark on your resume and help introduce you to a powerful network of past and future alumni.

For those who are interested the positions that are up for election are as follows: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian. The President and Vice President will be responsible for coordinating all events and deciding the overall direction of the club next year.
