Thank you for celebrating Banned Books Week with us! Both the Banned Books display in front of the main stairwell in the GSSC and our Blind Date with a Banned Book displays will remain up for the time being. Feel free to stop by for a first, second, or whatever-number visit while they're here! 📚

The books featured in Blind Date with a Banned Book, along with other banned and challenged titles, will continue to circulate in our collection after the event. Stop by the GSSC anytime to check out a book, explore its themes, and learn more about why certain titles have been challenged. These conversations remain important: according to the American Library Association's Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF), 4,235 unique titles were challenged in 2025, the second-highest number ever recorded by the ALA, just below the record of 4,240 titles in 2023.
