π Alumni Spotlight: Ryan Kuhn, MSN, RN, CNE
ENMU Nursing is proud to recognize alumnus Ryan Kuhn, MSN, RN, CNE, for his continued commitment to nursing education, professional development, and lifelong learning. Ryan is currently furthering his education by pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
As a Unit-Based Educator within a large hospital system, Ryan credits ENMU's Master of Science in Nursing program with providing the foundation for his success as a nurse educator. Through coursework focused on evidence-based teaching, curriculum design, leadership, and learner-centered education, he developed the skills necessary to support staff development, clinical training, onboarding, and professional growth among nurses.
One of Ryan's most impactful accomplishments has been the development of a comprehensive ultrasound-guided IV insertion training program. Drawing upon the knowledge and educational principles gained through the ENMU MSN program, he has helped improve procedural competency, enhance patient outcomes, and expand clinical skill sets among nursing staff.
In addition to leading employee orientations and conducting educational gap analyses, Ryan has successfully earned his Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential. He notes that ENMU's emphasis on teaching and learning principles, curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, and the nurse educator role directly contributed to his readiness for certification.
Reflecting on his journey, Ryan shares:
"Today, I'm proud to serve as an educator who not only teaches clinical skills but also fosters professional growth, critical thinking, and lifelong learningβvalues deeply rooted in my ENMU graduate education."
We are proud to celebrate Ryan's accomplishments and look forward to seeing the impact he continues to make as a future DNP-prepared nurse leader.
π Congratulations, Ryan!
